Carrying the Flame of the Old Ways
About Sorcha Lunaris
I am Sorcha Lunaris, Keeper of the Ancient Craft, walking a path shaped by long study, lived practice, and deep listening to the land. My work brings together ritual practice, traditional folk knowledge, seasonal awareness, and the quiet teachings that arise through relationship with place, memory, and tradition. My calling is to practise, explore, and share a path rooted in Irish folklore, land-based tradition, broader folk magic, Celtic spiritual wisdom, and modern witchcraft with those who feel drawn towards reverence, continuity, and an authentic connection to the living Craft.
The Ancient Irish Craft
The Ancient Irish Craft is the living vessel of this work — a sacred space shaped by devotion to the wisdom found in Ireland’s folklore, healing traditions, storytelling, folk customs, and land-based practices. Here, these threads are honoured with care and thoughtfully reinterpreted for the present day. The Ancient Irish Craft is a contemporary spiritual path rooted in Irish folklore, seasonal tradition, land-based practice, and broader currents of folk magic, with influences drawn from Celtic spirituality and modern witchcraft, offered with respect for both recorded tradition and thoughtful modern interpretation. Through courses, writings, rituals, and teachings, it opens a gateway into a reflective and spiritually grounded path inspired by these traditions, guiding seekers to walk with care, understanding, and relevance in the world today.
Our Story —
A Living Tradition
The Ancient Irish Craft was born from a devotion to honour and rekindle the wisdom carried through Ireland’s landscape, folklore, seasonal understanding, and folk memory. Rooted in these sources, and informed by Celtic mythic and spiritual traditions as well as the wider language of folk magic, it is more than a body of teachings — it is an unfolding living practice, shaped through study, reflection, and lived relationship with the old ways. Through writings, courses, and shared ritual work, strands of myth, history, folk tradition, and experience are woven together so that seekers today may walk this path with integrity, reflection, and grounded awareness.
Our Mission —
To Keep the Flame Alive
Our mission is to keep the flame of this Irish-inspired Craft steadily burning, offering guidance to those who feel called to reconnect with the wisdom of the land, the turning year, and the deeper rhythms of traditional and contemporary practice. By sharing thoughtful teachings, sacred tools, seasonal observances, and reflections rooted in folk tradition, The Ancient Irish Craft offers a path that is grounded, respectful, and alive — open to all who approach the work with sincerity, humility, and care.
Our Guiding Principles
Authenticity
Rooted in Irish folklore, seasonal tradition, cultural memory, and broader folk tradition, and informed by Celtic spiritual wisdom, we honour the voices of land, ancestry, and story while approaching the past with care, respect, and thoughtful interpretation.
Wisdom
Through teachings, writings, and guided study, we share knowledge that weaves together myth, seasonal awareness, traditional folk understanding, broader folk magic, Celtic spiritual insight, and modern ritual practice for the contemporary practitioner.
Community
The Craft is not walked alone. We foster a circle where those drawn to the old ways may learn, and deepen together in respect, and continuity.
